System Engineering
We have the proven ability to provide technical analysis and system engineering across emerging architectures, proofs of concepts, and prototype development based on current and anticipated future customer requirements. We support the entire system development life cycle and have performed site installations, testing, verification and deployments to ensure successful end-to-end operations.
Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
Delivery of processing systems is only one part of the TCPED cycle. With a deep understanding of the end to end Mission Flow and Enterprise Architectures, we are uniquely position to advance our customers reach into Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML). Particularly in the areas of Technical analysis, XMSTART has stood up and led strategy and vision or the future of AI/ML in the Intelligence Community.
Signal Intelligence
Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) is our oldest competency area, where we got our name and built our foundation. We hold a historic amount of RF signal processing, signal detection and geolocation knowledge as we conceptualized and deployed some of the first SIGINT capabilities for our customers. We excel in R&D prototyping efforts, requirement discovery, capturing mission gaps and translating needs into capabilities.
Program/Project Management (PMP)
XMSTART has been recognized for leading and managing large scale globally deployed programs. We have vast experience assessing the intelligence needs, determining the necessary resources, creating detailed plans/schedules, managing and tracking funding and providing technical oversight to successfully execute the program. We envision, lead development, mature, transition and sustain programs.
Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS)
XMSTART’s involvement in the CUAS Mission for the US Government began in areas of RF detection, exploitation, and geolocation from various SIGINT collection platforms/sites around the world. Prior to a commercialized CUAS market where products were being developed and sold by a variety of vendors, XMSTART guided development teams in producing fieldable prototypes. As the UAS market and CUAS mission evolved XMSTART has led pilot programs for various organizations to implement and operationalize some of the first CUAS systems for site protection.
Government Acquisition/EVM
XMSTART has led the development of acquisition strategies, contract packages and documentation for many successfully awarded contracts for our customers across the IC and DoD. We are qualified in performing Earned Value Management (EVM) to help assess what a program or activity is accomplishing with allocated funding.
History
Incorporated in 2004 and founded by a retired Senior CIA Executive Officer and National Reconnaissance Office Pioneer, XMSTART serves Government and industry partners with specialized expertise in sophisticated reconnaissance systems. We have supported our customers in acquiring, operating, and maintaining complex and unique space and airborne collection systems. We maintain significant domain knowledge in RF signal processing, signal detection and geolocation are recognized for leading and managing large scale globally deployed programs. Joined by our current President Frank Prihoda, XMSTART has grown from a system engineering company to a diverse SETA and acquisition support company providing customers with well-respected and highly regarded technical assistance across several mission areas. We are a small business incorporated in Virginia comprised of a strong group of diverse professionals driven to add value and provide mission impact by ensuring a mission focus, remaining customer oriented and serving as visionaries in our domains. Government and industry partners rely on XMSTART personnel to deliver highly respected expertise and solutions to their challenging mission requirements.
